The friend who always plans the trip
I love having fun, and I love getting the people I care about in the same place. Over the years I've planned a lot of trips that turned into traditions: California lake weekends, houseboats on Lake Mead, bachelor parties, wedding get-togethers, and plenty of random friend trips that started with "we should go somewhere." (If there's a lake within driving distance, I've probably already planned a weekend there. My friends have stopped asking.)
How I became the planner
It started with being the groomsman with the plan. After enough bachelor parties and wedding weekends, I became the go-to planner for everything else too: bachelorette weekends, family reunions, quick getaways, and an annual boating trip I've organized for college nonprofits for the last ten years. Honestly, I love it. I love putting all the pieces into one package and watching it come together. But it took a lot of time: the tabs, the spreadsheets, and the group text asking what time we're leaving. Again.
So I built Twizz
Twizz is the trip planning I always wanted. Stays, activities, and logistics live in one organized place, and then we actually book them, so the plan turns into a trip. The person who usually does all the planning finally gets to just be on the trip.
The logistics nerd behind it
I've spent more than ten years in supply chain and operations, at Sunrun and PG&E's Diablo Canyon, and I co-founded The Big SLO Bike, a pedicab business in San Luis Obispo. In other words, I love logistics and sweating the small stuff, so you don't have to. Twizz is based on the Central Coast of California.
